Can we come together to make a difference...???

Aldo Leopold
“When we see land as a community to which we belong,
we may begin to use it with love and respect.”

The Pollinators Project # 2: Tend to Your Wild is designed to call attention to the basic and critical importance of pollinators while fundamentally changing the way we think about our gardens.

Our goal is create a habitable planet, huge goal, but let's think big by going small.
Saving the planet one yard, your yard, at a time.

Our goal is to create bee pathways and migratory bird safe havens.

Deliberately planting a yard with native plants can create a refuge that returns some wild to the world
that has been taken away by our highway systems, our houses, our lawns. This is a simple but powerful
solution to begin to address climate disturbance, pollution, our own angst.

Imagine, if we shake off those depressing thoughts of politics, environmental damages,
those daily complaints of opinion, barking, and outrage, what we can do together.
Just think what the power of many can do.

The benefactors are bees and hornets, sparrows and bluebirds, hummingbirds and butterflies,
the garter snake in the flowerbed,
but most of all we are the benefactors.

Please join us and get involved in the
Blessed are the Pollinators Project : Tend to Your Wild

Why Pollinators?
Our lives depend on plants. Plants are not an option.
Flowering plants depend on pollinators. Pollinators are not an option.
They play a critical role in maintaining natural plant communities, ensuring the production of seeds in most flowering plants, those plants that bring us countless fruits, vegetables and nuts, half the worlds oils, fibers and raw materials; those plants that prevent soil erosion and increase carbon sequestration.
